FORECAST + SNOW REPORTER'S NOTES
Today Snow | Tomorrow Partly Cloudy
Good morning and welcome to another snowy day on the slopes here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort,
where 2 inches of fresh snow have fallen in the last 24 hours and it’s not over yet! Over half a foot of
snow is expected to fall by the end of the day with temperatures reaching the mid 20’s, making it a
stellar day to ski or ride down any of the 97 powder-packed trails. Fifteen lifts spinning will guide you
to 874 skiable acres, which are softened by a 44 inch base. Steeps, bumps, groomers, 58 to be exact,
Crested Butte Mountain has it all; and if you’re looking for a recommendation, head down Paradise
Bowl, as it has been dubbed the groomer’s choice of the day!
With all the new snow this mountain has received, today’s a great day to try out a new snowboard, and
with it being Burton Demo Day, it’s easier than ever to test one out!
Today marks week 2 of the gO Skimo Series, presented by Griggs Orthopedics, where you will learn
how much fun going uphill can be! Head over to the Treasury Center between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm,
sign up, get a great workout in, and then enjoy a beer and an awesome raffle, all for FREE! This race is
meant for all levels, so come on out and see how much fun going up can be!
Not only is January turning out to be a great month of snow, but it’s also Learn to Ski and Snowboard
Month; and because of that, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is offering a killer beginner special. During
the month of January, first time skiers and riders, ages 15 and older, can sign up for a First Time
Beginner Adventure Lesson for $79, and this includes a lift ticket! If there’s any time to learn to ski, it’s
now!
Come enjoy the freshies here on the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort!
