A “SOUPER” CHRISTMAS DINNER
Once again this year you are invited to join us at
our annual Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m. following The Journey Worship Service at 5:00 p.m. Our Soup kitchen volunteers will provide this year’s dinner serving the
same meal they make for the Salvation Army Soup
Kitchen guests the second and fourth Tuesdays of
the month. This year we are not selling tickets but
asking for donations, the Christmas dinner serves
as the annual fundraiser for the Soup Kitchen. It
costs approximately $4320 to provide the meals at
the kitchen each year or $360 a month. Thank you
for your ongoing support of this program, if you
want to learn about volunteering ask any of the
Soup Kitchen team serving dinner. We hope you
and your family will be apart of this special evening.
BOXERS FOR JESUS
Each year for our Christmas Eve children’s service,
we will be collecting boxers and socks for the Park
Hill Clothing Center. Each year this center provides new or gently used clothing to over 1000 of
our district’s students. Pine Ridge has always been a
great supporter of this program and each year the
center is blown away at the generosity that comes
from our Christmas Eve donation. All sizes from
5T all the way up to men’s adult XXL will be
greatly appreciated. Thank you!
CHRISTMAS CAROLING
Pine Ridge is excited to share a wonderful opportunity of sharing God's love with those in the Northland
community through the gift of music! On Saturday,
December 17th at 6:00 P.M., immediately following
The Journey worship service we will meet in the Holy Grounds Cafe. We will then head out to carol at
local nursing homes, senior centers and Zona Rosa.
We’ll return to church for refreshments and fellowship. Contact Dale Bolyard [email protected]
with questions.
BE AN ANGEL!
The Mission Committee is sponsoring our annual
Christmas Angel Trees which can be found in the
Holy Grounds Café area beginning Sunday, November 20th. Donors may choose a tag from the trees,
purchase the gift requested by the recipient and return it (unwrapped) by December 4th. Recipients
this year include our Hillcrest family (mother and
son – these gifts are due Nov. 27th) and children
and teenagers who are a part of the Tri-County Mental Health Program. These teenagers often do not
receive holiday gifts because of their age. There are
gifts of every price range needed, come find what
works for you and thank you for your generosity.
Please be sure to “sign out” your tag, on the master
list in the Holy Grounds, so we know who has which
tags.
