“I took your shoes”
This was said by Zero toward the end of the
book. The boys, Zero & Stanley, realize that
there was a mistake with who was accused of

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Explain your rating in complete sentences: I gave Holes four stars because I enjoyed the story,
especially the way it was written with flashbacks. Stanley was an easy character to
relate to because he was a hard worker and good friend. You won’t be able to put the book
down.
