MEET YOUR MENTORS
BECKY SEIPEL
I am a senior at Xavier
University and have been an
Interlink Mentor for three years. I
am majoring in History with a
minor in French. Last semester I
studied abroad in Paris and je
parle un peu français! After
graduation I hope to continue my
work with the international
community by working at a
Refugee Resettlement agency.
GALI ZUMMAR
My name is Gali Zummar, and I
was born in 1993 in San Pedro
Sula, Honduras. Even though I'm
officially Honduran, you might be
thinking that I do not look like the
average Latino. Well, you are
right. Both of my parents are
Palestinian, which makes me a
Latino/Arab kid who speaks
Spanish, English, and Arabic. I
graduated from High School in
Honduras at an International
school, and
traveled to Cincinnati to attend
Xavier University for my
undergraduate degree. Currently
I am a sophomore seeking a
Finance Major with an
Entrepreneurship Minor. When I
do not find myself shaping my
future (reading my business
textbooks), I am eagerly
searching the web for new
MAI PHAM
My name is Mai Pham and I'm a
sophomore. I am an international
student from Vietnam majoring
in Finance and Int'l Business. I'm
the Treasurer of ISS and Asian
Pacific Society this school year.
You can call me "Miu" /meow/ as
people say that I look like a little
cat.
I love to be a part of Xavier, and
so will you!!

WAMBUI MIGWE
Hi! My name is Wambui Migwe. I
am originally from Kenya. This
will be my third year at
Xavier University studying
International Business. I am the
Vice President of the African
Students Association and the
SGA Liaison for the International
Students Society. This will be
my second year as an Interlink
Mentor. I enjoy listening to
music, watching movies,
meeting new people and
learning about other cultures. :)
EMILY ECKERT
I was born and raised in
Houston, Texas though my lack
of pride and accent makes
people think otherwise. I ended
up at Xavier as a Marketing and
Spanish major. This year I am a
senior and not ready for the real
world quite yet. After I graduate,
I hope to move to Latin America
for a few years. I enjoy
adventures, nature, discovering
music, and running when I'm not
gaining valuable knowledge from
school.
NJERI MIGWE
Njeri Migwe is a Junior majoring
in Accounting and minoring in
International Business. She is
originally from Kenya. She is
active in the International
Students Society, African
Students Association,
Accounting Society and serves
as the Secretary for the National
Association of Black
Accountants. This will be her
second year being an Interlink
mentor. Her favorite part of this
program is meeting students
from around the world.
MARIA NASSANGA
Maria Nassanga was born
December 15, 1992 and raised
in Cape Town, South Africa. She
went to elementary school in
Uganda, Africa then moved to
the United States when she was
in 8th grade. She is a very goofy,
independent, humorous and
honest individual. She is the
product of many other cultures.
Maria Nassanga chose to attend
Xavier University for its global
emphasis, and for the relatively
small, caring, diverse and
academically progressive
atmosphere. She especially likes
Xavier's international outlook
and inter-disciplinary approach
to teaching. This she feels is
particularly true in the
department of Criminal Justice
and Political Science in which
SARA GODBEY
My name is Sara Godbey, I am
24 years old. I was born and
raised in Mexico. I am a senior
and my major is Sociology. I
have been living in Cincinnati for
two years, I moved here
because my husband is from
Cincinnati. Previously I lived in
France for over 2 years. In
France I was working on my
bachelor's degree in Sociology. I
speak Spanish, English and
French fluently. I have two
younger brothers, one of them
studies at Xavier too.
she has constructed her area of
concentration. She hopes that
this combination of field will be a
plus for a professional life
specially where she came from
but also around the world.
CLAIRE HURTEAU
My name is Claire Hurteau. I
am a senior at Xavier University
majoring in Human Resources
with a minor in French. I
recently returned from studying
abroad in Antibes, France and
am spending the rest of the
summer in upstate New York on
the St. Lawrence River. I enjoy
canoeing, fishing and spending
time with my family and friends.
My other hobbies are reading,
swimming and watching movies.
I am always up for new
adventures and like visiting new
places. I am very interested in
learning about other cultures and
am really looking forward to my
involvement with the Interlink
program this year.
ZITIAN JIANG
I am Zitian Jiang, I'm from Beijing,
China. I am a sophomore at
Xavier University, Business
Undecided major. My favorite
thing to do is tasting food,
because I think tasting food is one
of the most enjoyable past time in
the world. I also like to travel a lot,
seeing different parts of the world,
is always fun.
JAYAPRASAD JOSEPH
I am Jayaprasad K Joseph(JP
Joseph) from India and I am doing
my master's in Educational
Administration. I hope to graduate
in December. I live at St Bernard's
church, Dayton, Kentucky. I have
a bachelor's degree in education
from Christ University, Bangalore,
India and a master's degree in
education from Mangalore
University, Mangalore, India. I
have worked in the field of primary
education for seven years. During
those years I have also been
involved in conducting in-service
training program for primary
school teachers.
LYNDI VINSON
My name is Lyndi Vinson and I
will be a sophomore at Xavier
University this fall majoring in
French. I studied in the south of
France near Bordeaux and am
currently traveling in Europe! I
love learning new languages,
watching movies, singing, art,
traveling and experiencing new
cultures! I speak English and
French fluently and am learning
Spanish. I look forward to being a
part of the Interlink program and
meeting new people!
KATIE COPP
I am Katie Copp, a junior from
Ann Arbor, Michigan and I am
studying Biology at Xavier. I spent
last semester studying abroad in
Nicaragua and I am always
looking for ways to continue
practicing my Spanish language
skills. Some things I enjoy are
running, road trips and country
music. In addition to being a
HUGE Xavier basketball fan, I am
also a lifelong University of
Michigan fan and hope to go to
medical school there after I
graduate. This will be my first year
as an Interlink mentor and I am
very excited about my
involvement in this program. Let's
