Oct.,2011 M.C.T.F.C.U. “Where People Come First” Monroe County Teachers FCU Dates To Remember Nov. 11 Veterans Day CLOSED Nov. 24-25 Thanksgiving CLOSED Dec. 7 - Pearl Harbor Day Dec. 23-Jan. 9 Christmas break. Monroe County Teachers Federal Credit Union Sponsor A Classroom 2011 MCTFCU is proud to announce the recipients of the first annual Sponsor A Classroom 2011. Initially, 4 recipients were to be awarded $250 each as part of our involvement in the Key West Chamber of Commerce Education Committee’s “Tom Sawyer 5 Star Program”. However, since we serve all teachers throughout the Keys and due to overwhelming demand we expanded to 12 awards. It was a hard decision to make for our Board of Directors, considering the numerous applications we received. Besides being a teacher, our only other requirement was that you must maintain an active account with our credit union. As a member your are not just another “banking customer”, you are also owners of our credit union and our sole purpose is to serve you. Membership indeed has it’s privileges! We would certainly hope that those of you who are not yet members would give serious thought to joining, as our savings and loan programs are second to none — not only in the Keys, but throughout the country—we are a highly ranked financial institution in all areas of operations! If you don’t believe it, ask our members, our competitors, or check us out on the web! It is our desire to continue this program well into the future, so if you were not selected this year, we strongly encourage you to apply again. Thank you all for your participation!
