Task Cards
I hope you enjoy your Jackson Task Cards. Included are 32
question cards that can be used to review content from the
Jacksonian Era. They can be answered in any order. I
recommend that you laminate the cards so that you can use
them year after year. These cards can be used with any text
book or as a review of classroom instruction. I have included
blank cards at the end if you wish to add more questions or
replace a question.
These task cards have multiple uses in your classroom. You
can:

Social Studies Success
Set up centers to review for a test
Play a game of “Scoot”. Place the task cards around the
room and allow students to travel from one card to the
next as they answer the questions.
Use them as anchor stations as you do a small group
reteach.
Do you have a class with a large ELL population? Place
students in groups of 4, give students each a card and
allow them to discuss the answer as a group.
Need a quick formative assessment? Pass out a few of these
task cards and have students answer them at the end of a
lesson.
