Programming and Planning Term 2 2013
This Term our focus has been on transport, insects and bugs .
The children have enjoyed moulding amazing objects with
clay and this helps to strengthen their fine motor skills. We
extended our literacy focus to the mud patch and have converted it into a cooking area, a dinosaur habitat and a muddy track for toy cars. They have fun wheeling their wheelbarrows with onions and pumpkins around the yard. Our
numeracy focus has been on numbers and reading the time,
the children enjoyed recording the time with the help of the
toy clocks and the sand clock, they cleverly extended it to
the computer games on clocks. They drew their own clocks
with attribute blocks .
The
clocks
and clay
are very
popular.
Corina, Emily and Corie.
Jean and louise
Elain, Aaron & Corie
Alana, Vincent & Lance.
The Aboriginal Family Literacy program has focussed on
drawing and making spiders and learning about colours
and shapes. The children are practising some of our favourite
songs and learning some new ones. Following parent feedback from Yarning Time, emphasis will be on letters of the
alphabet and numbers. These are all very important when
you are a shopkeeper.
Robyn, Demelza, Tracey, Belinda ,
Wendy, Sharie, Carlene & Shialee.
A big Thank You to Belinda and Tracey from
Communities for Children for all your help with
the mosaics on pavers. We will be placing the
pavers around the digging patch to form a nice
garden feature. If you would like your child to
mosaic a paver please contact staff.
Onions , sweet potatoes and pumpkins for
sale from the Kindy vegetable shop. Shop
keepers Louise and Corie were doing a
great job.
