ENGINE PRE-HEAT & HYDRAULIC HEATING SYSTEM
Cold engines are inefficient. They wear more quickly and
don’t last as long. For you, this means higher costs, higher fuel
consumption and more time managing the headache of repairs.
The best way to achieve continuous productivity, even when it’s
freezing outside, is to install a Webasto coolant heating system.
Webasto coolant heaters offer a variety of power classes
ranging from 8,600 to 104,000 Btu/h (2.5 to 30.0 kW).
Integrated into the machine’s coolant circuit, the system brings
fuels and lubricants in the machine to operating temperature
before you even start the engine. The cab is also warmed,
without wasting fuel by idling the engine while the vehicle is not
in use. Also, when combined with hydraulic fluid warmers (p. 5)
they can also be used to heat fuel and hydraulic fluids.

From trucks to buses to off-highway equipment, the
Thermo Top C is the most widely used coolant heater
with over a million at work. 17,000 Btu/h of heat will bring
the engine up to operating temperature so it’s running
efficiently. That means you save fuel, reduce engine wear,

The Thermo Top C elevates the engine coolant
temperature to 172° F (78° C) for pre-heating to

HOW IT WORKS
The Thermo Top C coolant heater uses the vehicle‘s
existing fuel and electrical supplies to heat the engine
coolant and circulate it to pre-heat the engine and vehicle
interior – without idling the engine.
