The Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan is excited to announce we have received a generous donation of $50,000 from Kevin and Joan Stricker of Fries Tallman Lumber Ltd. This generous donation came after several years of supporting the Society’s Fall Gala, A Night to Remember as presenting sponsor. Wanting to extend their support and create awareness of Alzheimer’s disease in our province, Fries Tallman also became the presenting sponsor of Heads Up for Healthier Brains, a program that promotes healthy aging and brain health. To date, Kevin and Joan Stricker have provided over $142,000 to the Alzheimer Society, and in recognition of their generosity, received the Alzheimer Society Corporate Leadership Award in 2011. The Stricker’s donation will help support research into a cause, a cure, and improving the quality of life for those who are currently living with the disease. “It’s an investment in the future well being of our province,” says Kevin Stricker. The Alzheimer Society is incredibly grateful to the Strickers and Fries Tallman Lumber for their ongoing support of our organization. Thanks to community leaders like the Strickers, we can hope to realize our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Thank you again to Kevin and Joan Stricker and Fries Tallman Lumber!
