10th Grade Mod Civ Cluster2BenchmarkReviewFlashcards (ExtraCredit) IndustrialExpansionandImperialism Attached is a list of topics that are potential test questions on the upcoming benchmark exam. In an effort to encourage you to prepare for this important exam, completion of these review flash cards will earn you up to 10 points extra credit on your test score depending on the quality and quantity of flash cards you complete. Requirements for earning extra credit… 1) Flash cards must be turned in on the day of your benchmark test at the start of the period. You will not get them back until all 10th graders have completed the test. 2) Flash cards must be numbered and placed in the correct order when you turn them in to make it easier for grading. It is recommended that you put one card at the top with your name, teacher, and class period. They should be secured with rubber bands, a large binder clip, or in a plastic bag. 3) One side of the flash card should have the topic from the list 4) The other side should have a thorough definition, description, or answer to the topic. You do NOT need to purchase flash cards; they can easily be created by cutting regular sheets of paper in to smaller sections. 5) All flash cards must be completed in your own hand‐writing. They may not be typed. Once you have completed your flash cards, USE THEM TO STUDY!!!! Just completing the flash cards will not guarantee you a good grade on the test; you actually have to use them as a study aid. If there are topics you do not understand, ask your teacher for an explanation. REMINDER: Scoring at least a 60% on this benchmark test is the third requirement to avoid being part of the December Intervention Program for Mod Civ that takes place over three Saturday Schools. Corrections will not be an option for you on this test because you have topics to study ahead of time and an opportunity for significant extra credit (10 points on a 60 question test is more than 15%).
