Deadly Skate, Coaching Sessions
Port Hedland Skate Park, 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Hedland Youth Week 2016 kicks off with coaching sessions
for the annual Deadly Skate competition. The sessions will be
hosted by ‘Freestyle Now’.
Fri 8 April
LEGO Movie
Port Hedland Skate Park, 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Unwind with the family for a children’s classic movie. Pack a picnic
and relax on the deck chairs for some quality family fun. PG rating.

Round two of coaching for the annual Deadly Skate competition.
Come on down and learn new skills from the ‘Freestyle Now’ team.

Registrations open at 9.00am and kids must have their
permission slips signed by a parent or guardian to be able to
compete. Pick up a form from JD Hardie Youth Zone, South
Hedland.

Use your favourite book, movie or story as inspiration to create some
works of art.

A whole week of music workshops culminating in a performance on
16 April. Stanley from Kadaance will teach you some new skills and
help you use music to tell your story.

Play traditional games and learn from a local elder about traditional
aboriginal games from here and around Australia.

Have a feed, learn something new and do fun activities with Helping
Minds, JD Hardie Youth Zone, Town of Port Hedland, Wirraka Maya and
Population Health.
Come down and watch a spectacular display of talented local
performers, hosted by Youth Involvement Council. The finalists have
worked hard showing off their skills, who will be named the winner of
Hedland’s Got Talent?

Come down and score some hoops. Wirraka Maya Health Service
TTA program will be hosting the inaugural “Be At Your Best” Youth
Basketball Competition (this is a smoke free event). Registration will
open at 9.00am, with the first round starting at 10.00am.There will be
music and prizes to be won on the day!

The Kazoos: Teddy Bear Picnic

The Kazoos are one of Australia’s most loved children’s entertainment
acts. They deliver a show that is wholesome, educational, interactive
and highly entertaining. There are two showings and tickets cost $25
for all ages.

Make sure you slip slop slap and come down to South Hedland
Aquatic Centre for some fun in the sun! All children under 10 years of
