Neveah’s Little Free Library Opens at American First Credit Union
La Habra, CA – September 15, 2016 – American First Credit Union is thrilled to announce that
it has partnered with Neveah, a 9 year old girl with a dream to share her books with her
community. Now when you visit the credit union’s La Habra location, you can participate in the
“Take a Book, Return a Book” free book exchange program in the branch’s children play area.
American First Credit Union hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open Neveah’s fourth Little
Free Library in La Habra. Credit Union Associates, La Habra Police Officers (including canine
friend, Emerson), and family gathered together to celebrate its grand opening.

Library location at American First Credit Union in La Habra.
At 6 years old, Neveah started setting up Little Free Libraries in La Habra. She was inspired by
a television commercial talking about Little Free Library programs. With much determination and
support from family and friends, Neveah made her idea into a reality and now has four locations
throughout the city of La Habra. She plans to expand by opening a location in every city park.
“When I met Neveah and her grandmother at the Coffee-with-a-Cop event, I was amazed to see
how dedicated she is to helping kids read, especially considering her age. Our associates are
happy to help by contributing books to the Little Free Library,” said Jose Jimenez, Senior
Account Executive at American First Credit Union. “She’s a determined and goal-driven young
girl with big dreams.”
