This outline has b een prepared in r espon e to r equests from vVashington rural women's clubs. It \vill be of special inter est to groups
of women who are desirous of making their homes more c onveni en ~
as workshops and more comfortable places in which to live. Most
of the devices suggested requir e little money and little time to construct.
For the use of -;tudy clubs, suggestions are made for papers arid
dis cussions as w ell as for the d emonstrations. These topics ar e all
based upon the one th eme of Efficien cy in th e Home, a subj ect of
p aramount interest to ev er y housek eeper in th e state.
The Home E conomics Section of th e Exten sion Service of the Stat e
College is at the service of th e home-makers of th e state. ·v l e arc
esp ecially . anxious to assist those women who are attempting to
realize a greater degree of effi cien cy and who are undertaking a
systematic study of hom e-making, either through clubs or individually.

Bulletins.
Write to Maud Wilson, Extension Service, State College, Pullman,
Washington, for the bulletins. They will be sent free of charge.
Be sure to state the number of each bulletin wanted. We will be
glad to send enough so that each club memb er may have one. If
you are using the outline as given for the entire year, simply state
in ordering that you want all bulletins listed in vV. C. Outline No . 4.
If you have selected certain programs, it will be necessary to give
the numbers of t he bulletins you need. No bulletin need be returned.
Books.
A limited number of Scott's "Home Labor-saving D evices" are
available for loaning to clubs. Only one copy will be sent to each
·club. If you wish to borrow this book, send a deposit of $1.00 . This
money will be r efunded if the book is r eturned in good condition
within one year of the date of loaning it.
The books listed will be sent in any quantity, at the prices given
above. The price includes ·postage. Th e full amount of the cost of
the books must accompany each order. Send orders to Maud \Vilson,
Extension Service, Pullman, Vvashington. 'J.lhey may, of course, be
ordered direct from the publishers.
Any club will find that it pays to own one copy of each of the
books listed so that club-members may IDOt be .hindered ~ the
preparation of their papers or demonstrations, because of a lack of
