management (MCM)?

Microclimate management is a critical aspect of
pressure ulcer prevention and treatment.
In combination with the vapor-permeable mattress
cover, the microclimate management system
eliminates moisture between the patient's skin and
mattress, thus creating an optimal environment.
The best treatment lies in effective distribution of
pressure over the patient's entire body. The constant
low pressure system automatically maintains the
appropriate pressure level at all times regardless of
changes in the distribution of the patient's weight or
position, thus constantly optimizing the pressure
acting on the skin.

The zero-pressure mattress is one of the most
effective wound care products on the market
today. Its 3-cell technology uses alternating zero
pressure to fully eliminate the action of pressure
on areas of the body that are at the greatest risk.
The back-up battery provides 6 hours of auxiliary
power so that treatment may continue during
patient transport or power outages.
What is air loss?
Low-air-loss mattresses suspend the
patient on air-filled cells that circulate air
over the skin to reduce moisture and
maintain constant skin interface pressure.
