Then came 13 limited edition figures called the GODS series
which recreated legendary figures over history real and fictional
and the average production run on those was also around 250
copies each with some more popular figures selling as many as
500 copies. Here are two of my favorites from that range Moses
and Robin Hood. Again, I never see them come up for sale.
I would greatly appreciate it. Word of mouth is my best
avenue of promotion and I’ve provided some links below that
you can use if you want to include images of the Road Kill
Corpses miniatures.
Road Kill Corpses will not sell very many copies because of
its unusual subject matter. You don’t need it to game with. The
piece primarily attracts gamers and the model enthusiast who like
to either DM, create dioramas and tabletop scenery. The
average hobby enthusiast doesn’t have a use for an unusual set
like Road Kill Corpses and it is unlikely anyone else will want to
produce a large range of dead animals. Frankly, at best, the set
will sell 200 pieces as have most of my previous limited editions,
but that works for me.
There were many other limited editions like some of Marc
Miller’s TRAVELER series I produced under license, or pieces
exclusive to the PAIZO publishing online store, all selling
around 200 copies which by most standards is paltry sum.
The first miniature I ever produced back in 2001, was a
Limited Edition Baby Dragon that was sculpted by Sandra
Garrity. To my surprise it was difficult to cast due to the size,
weighing in at a pound in metal. This figure sold 250 copies and
I never see it come up for sale on ebay.
