summary of Casa de Madrid

!
A luxurious homely and peaceful oasis in the heart of Madrid
Casa de Madrid offers a special, unique and romantic experience, located in a landmark
18th century building, where the Habsburg dynasty built their Royal Palace.
Its many balconies face The Royal Opera House, La Plaza Oriente and The Royal
Palace. The house has been hand-painted throughout by Claudia Sanfelice di Monteforte.
Casa de Madrid was conceived by Marta Medina Muro. “Each house says
something about the person who lives in it .” she said. “My house reflects the luck I've had
to be surrounded by beautiful things, and I want to share this privilege.”
The room themes are memories of different parts of the world with an exotic
atmosphere reminding us of a timeless bygone era.
They are spacious and each one has a unique decoration. Each stay in the guest
house can be different. Some clients like to experience on each visit a different room,
others simply have their favourite.
The living room of this private home, has been turned into a luxurious Roman
Lounge. This is the common area of the house. Marta Medina herself likes to entertain
guests, and Casa de Madrid's clients are “people who I feel at home with” says Marta. This
is also a place to relax and have some tea during the afternoon, and enjoy an elegant
continental breakfast in the morning. The Lounge is richly decorated with sculptures and
antiques, including a 19th century piano, and the balconies give a natural light to the Italian
frescos on the wall.
