A Message from the Principal
Just a reminder that we do not
have school for students on
Friday! Our teachers will be
participating in an Inservice Day
at school. Have a nice
weekend!
Mrs. Barrier
Goodfellows Food Drive
We have begun our annual food drive and are
collecting canned and boxed food items for the
Lexington Lions to distribute in
our community for the holiday
season. The donations collected
by the students have been of
extreme importance to the
packing of the food baskets. The Lions will be
picking up the food on December 14th. The grade
level that brings in the most
items will receive an extra
recess and a treat. Thank you
for your support of this very
worthwhile project!
Colder Weather
The days are getting colder now so please make sure your child comes to school
dressed appropriately. We go outside for recess every day (weather permitting.)
Please remember to send in an extra set of clothes for your child to keep in their
locker in case they need to change.
Christmas Traditions
Maiya Davis
When it’s Christmas time, I am happy. My family has some Christmas traditions. First,
we all gather at Grandma’s house. All of my aunts, uncles, and cousins are there. Next, we
open presents. We open one present at a time from the oldest to the youngest. We all get
toys, clothes, and shoes. Last, we all decorate the inside and the outside of the house. I love
my family’s Christmas traditions.
Ryleigh Roberts
Ring, ring! My family and I have Christmas traditions that we do every year. First, we
put up our tree. We have a beautiful, white, fake tree. We also put a green and red carpet
down for the presents. Next, we go buy new lights for our tree. Sometimes we even buy new
ornaments. We get new garland too. Last, going to sleep on Christmas eve is so hard. I can
never wait until the next day. My family and I love to spend time together on Christmas.
Emilee Bailey
Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas time is here. First, we always bake cookies for the holidays. We
always frost the cookies. Then we add sprinkles. Next, we have to open presents. Last, we
open them and play with some of them. I love Christmas with my family.
Helping Hands Holiday Bazaar
