CHOOK NEWS
There were many Tasmanians (and a few across the ditch) who generously supported the building of a chicken farm
at the Bethlehem Children’s Home in Mwea, Kenya.
We were able to build 2 chicken houses, a Kenyan house where the chickens stay inside all the time and a Tasmanian
chicken house that the children have painted in green and black stripes!!!
Reports we have had back have indicated that all is going really well, the chickens are laying and the children are
participating in the care of the flock. I have sent over an excellent resource from “Chooks in School Program”
developed in Devonport.
