Math
We have been busy working on story problems in math. We use a proof drawings
such as math mountains, equations and
comparison bars to help us find the missing
information. When working on homework
your child needs to use a proof drawing on
every story problem to show understanding
and to help solve problems. Please remind
your child to read carefully as they complete their work.
Conferences
Thank you for attending conferences. I enjoyed
spending time with each of you, working together
to make your second grader’s school year even
better. Thank you for being a partner in your
child’s education.
Winter Gear
Please remember to have your child
dressed for the weather. Even though the
weather is so unpredictable, hats, gloves,
and coats are required on the colder days.
When the snow does fly, snow pants and
boots will be required too. Please make
sure your child’s name is on everything!
