Omgeo Connect 3.5: Product Release Information

Omgeo Connect®
A DTCC Company
Product Release Information Version 3.5
This Product Release Information is for Omgeo ConnectSM clients. It describes the enhancements to version
3.5.
Enhancements
Connect version 3.5 contains the following enhancements.
Expanded Security ID Field to Accommodate Options
Omgeo has expanded the Connect Security ID field to 30 characters to accommodate the ticker symbol for
options. An example of the symbol for an options trade is:
GEW 09/09/22 C 7.50
Connect does not validate the format of the symbol; it only passes the symbol to the relevant Omgeo service
(Omgeo Central Trade ManagerSM or Omgeo OASYS TradeMatchSM).
Force Match Notification
Connect version 3.5 provides event notification of a force-matched block or allocation. With this enhancement, Connect clients can subscribe to an event notification of a force-matched block or allocation for
either the Omgeo Central Trade Manager (Omgeo CTM) or the Omgeo OASYS-TradeMatch (Omgeo
OTM) service.
Previously, Connect did not provide an event notification for a force-matched block or allocation.
Connect clients who subscribe to this event notification will receive the force match information in a direct
XML message through MQ after the force match has occurred.
Multi-Select Feature Enhancement for Block-Level Fields
Connect version 3.5 provides the ability to amend certain block-level attributes with a multi-select block
feature. Amendments to values in the block-levels fields depend on the underlying Omgeo service.
Previously, the mailbox on the Trades tab supported a single amendment on both blocks and allocations.

With this enhancement, you can select multiple blocks and then amend (in one auto change) the following
block fields:
•
•
•
•
Broker Identifier
Settlement Date
Trade Date
Security Identifier
You can now select multiple blocks by using the [CTRL] key and your mouse, amend the block-level fields,
and submit the changes in one request.
Pairing on TradeDate
In Connect version 3.5, TradeDate is a pairing field. When you create a new matching profile, Trade Date
now appears as a pairing field on the Pair Compare screens.
Note
Trade Date is a mandatory pairing field. No user action is required.
Previously, Trade Date was a matching field. If you clicked Pair Compare for an allocation in Allocations Mismatched mailbox, the Pair Compare screen appeared and the Trade Date field appeared in the Matching Field
Name section.
Print Confirm Summary Format
In Connect version 3.5, the Price field on the Control Print Summary page has four decimal places to provide the full price precision for USD.
Previously, the Price field displayed three decimal places for USD.

ABA Number Enrichment for Trades That Settle at the Federal Reserve
For trades that settle at the Federal Reserve (where PSET= FRNYUS33XXX), the local identifier that is
enriched is American Bankers Association (ABA) number that the investment manager provides. If the
investment manager does not provide an ABA number, enrichment occurs using the broker/dealer’s value.
Reject Workflow for Omgeo CTM Broker/Dealers
As broker/dealers migrate from Omgeo OASYS Global to Omgeo CTM, you should be aware of some
functionality available to these counterparties. As of Connect version 3.5, Omgeo CTM broker/dealers can
reject the blocks or allocations that you have submitted. Connect now fully support this new workflow.
The broker/dealer workflow for rejecting trades does not currently exist in Omgeo OASYS GlobalSM.
