Description
Attend as many or as few Coding sessions as you wish to complete as many Coding
Classes as desired. Students will learn various coding skills and have opportunities to
build and design their own creations using the coding blocks they learn.
**See below for specific course descriptions and prerequisites.
Game Design 101 – 3rd – 5th graders will build a basic side-scroller, program a robot to dance and create many more mini-games.
Game Design 102 – 3rd – 5th graders will build a drawing-based car racing game, complete a BeatBot Challenge and create several other mini-games.
(Must have completed Game Design 101 to enroll in this class)
Game Design Studio 1 – 3rd – 5th graders will learn coding basics, build arcade mini-games, animations and platformers.
Game Design 201 – 6th – 8th graders will build a projectile-physics based game with explosions, and adventure game, and several mini-games.
Game Design 202 – 6th – 8th graders will build a top-down shooting game, a projectile-physics game, and a 2-player aerial battle.
(Must have completed Game Design 201 to enroll in this class)
Game Design Studio 2 – 6th – 8th graders will build platformers, multiple levels, top-down RPGs, and physics games.
Creative Coding Studio – 3rd – 8th graders will discover programming through art, music, and math.
Animation Studio – 3rd – 8th graders will create animated cartoons just like the pros - learning the basics of animation as they draw their own characters and bring them to life with code.
