Directions to Host Your Domain Email with SMARSH

Below are some general points to pass along to your reps that I hope you find helpful:
FYI on setting up your business domain for archiving:
First thing to do is figure out how your email is currently hosted
o Through an internal exchange server or through a 3rd party similar to godaddy.com or
network solutions
Next step is to confirm with your host provider if journaling can be enabled on your account
o Journaling refers to changes that are made at the server level that automatically sends
copies of inbound and outbound messages directly to Smarsh for archiving
If journaling cannot be enabled (which will be the case with companies such as godaddy or
network solutions) reach out to Jackie Augusta at Smarsh to set up email hosting & archiving
directly with Smarsh
The information needed to set up email hosting is:
o Full user list (this is a list of EVERYONE needed to be set up on the domain)
 First & last names
 Email addresses you want set up
FYI you can’t have some users hosted with smarsh and others with
godaddy when everyone is sharing the same domain (ex.
Abcfinancial.com)
o Person to work with on this set up (could be an IT contact if applicable)
 First & last name
 Email address
 Contact phone #
My contact information is below and can work with each branch individually as they come on
board.
