NELSON’S INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL R E T T E L S hool NEW Sc Volume 6, Issue 1 18th January 2015 H A P P Y N E W Y E A R TO A L L ! Dear Parents, A ‘Happy New Year!’, and welcome to this edition of the Nelson’s International School newsletter. Inside this issue you can see some fantastic photographs from our ‘Expressions’ function, as well as our recent NIS sports day held at Khokhara sports ground. Students performed drills, dances as well as competing in many events, and earned many medals and certificates for their achievements. We still have quite a few events and activities lined up on the calendar for the rest of this year to look forward to. As it is still quite cold in the early morning at the start of school, parents are reminded to ensure their children are well wrapped up with scarves, jumpers, school jackets and other warm clothing to avoid coughs, colds and flu. In this season of coughs, colds and flu - please discuss good hygiene habits with your child or children - if they are coughing or sneezing they should cough or sneeze into their elbow if a handkerchief is not available. It is important to wash hands carefully and well to help prevent the spread of infections. On behalf of the school I would like to sincerely thank all the parents, students and teachers for all their support and hard work, especially dur- ing our annual ‘Expressions’ function and sports day. It is only with the dedication and hard work shown that these events become the successes that they surely have been. If you have any questions or comments on any school developments or other school issues or suggestions - please do not hesitate to contact us at any time through the school office. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we welcome the opportunities to meet and talk with all members of our school community.
