NATIONAL REPUBLICAN SENATORIAL COMMITTEE SENATOR JOHN CORNYN, NRSC CHAIRMAN

Your voice deserves to be heard. That's why I've sent you the enclosed STOP OBAMA
Survey.
Please immediately complete this survey and return it to the National Republican Senatorial
Committee (NRSC) in the postage-paid envelope provided.
The NRSC will compile the results of this survey and present the findings directly to
Republican Leaders in the U.S. Senate and Republicans running for the Senate in 2010, so they
know where you stand and can fight for your interests.
I am also asking you to include a contribution to the NRSC along with your survey to
help us recruit, train, and equip Republican Senate candidates for the 2010 elections.
The outcome of the 36 U.S. Senate races being held next year will determine the future
of our nation for years to come - and directly impact your economic well-being, your security
and your freedom.
And the action you take today completing your STOP OBAMA Survey and sending a
contribution to the NRSC - will directly affect these elections.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee is the official Republican Party organization
dedicated solely to electing and re-electing Republicans to the U.S. Senate.
We urgently need patriotic Republicans like you to support the National Republican
Senatorial Committee in order to help Republican Senate candidates compete on a level playing
field and win.
We must act now to reinforce Republican Senate candidates because Obama and tbe

Democrats are raising tens of millions of dollars to spend on advertising and propaganda to
try to mask their liberal policies, programs, and goals:
»> Adding $1 trillion a year of debt to the federal deficit for the next I 0 years.
>>> Surrendering in the global war on terror... standing down our troops and waiting for the
next attack while treating captured foreign terrorists as though they were U.S. citizens,
with full Constitutional and judicial rights.
»> Stacking Federal courts with liberal activist judges who will use their lifetime appointments
to legislate from the bench and subvert our rights.
»> A foreign policy of apology and appeasement.
»> Radical environmental regulations based on unproven theories and the demands of out
of-touch leftwing extremists.
»> A government takeover of the health care system with a massive new national bureaucracy
and ever-expanding cost.
»> Finally, imposing higher income taxes, and new taxes and fees on virtually everything you use, eat, purchase, or own. THA T IS NOT THE KIND OF CHANGE AMERICANS NEED OR WANT!
We have successfully blocked or amended many of their most radical proposals ...
.. .But our Republican leadership team needs reinforcements. We need to elect more
Republican Senators in 2010.
That's why the NRSC is working right now to expand our base of support, educate
voters, recruit candidates, train volunteers, and build the best campaign network possible.
And that's why your participation in our STOP OBAMA Survey and your contribution of
$36 or more to the NRSC is so important.
As Chairman of the NRSC, I have been chosen by my Republican Senate colleagues to
lead our national campaign effort.
This is a huge responsibility, especially during 20 I 0 when so much is at stake.
I realize I can't do it alone. I need your help.

So please come forward and help the NRSC and me fight and win this most important
political battle.
I want you to know that we are not in this just to "hold our own." I am working to
recruit top quality candidates to challenge the 18 out-of-touch Democrat Senate candidates
who must face election in 2010.
Obama and the Senate Democrats have clearly overreached with their extremist liberal
agenda - And I intend to hold them accountable for their record and defeat them.
The last time Republicans faced a mid-term election, with a new Democrat President
(Bill Clinton in 1994) and total Democrat control of Congress - We captured Majority control of
the House AND the Senate!..

Today, the Senate election map is filled with strong possibilities for Republican gains.
Here are some our best opportunities to defeat incumbent Democrats in 2010:
+ + + Illinois. The Democrat Party scandal surrounding the appointment to fill President
Obama's seat means we have a solid chance for a gain here with the right candidate.
Illinois voters are fed up with Democrat corruption and are looking for honest leadership.
+ + + Nevada. Majority Leader Harry Reid is vulnerable. As the Democrats' point man in the
Senate, he'll have to explain to conservative Nevada voters why he's been the Obama
administration's biggest cheerleader, working with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to push
a radical liberal agenda.
+ + + Connecticut. The incumbent has been entangled in the banking crisis and seriously
damaged by his close relationship with AIG. The people of this state are sick of his
hypocrisy and elitism and are clearly ready for a change. One recent poll has a potential
Republican candidate leading by 16 points.
+ + + New York. Hillary Clinton's departure to become Secretary of State: Iedto'iIieappomtmeiif
of a Democrat with no state-wide experience who stands a very good chance ofbeing beaten
by the right Republican. We need to go after it.
These are just a handful of Republican opportunities. The Democrats are overconfident
and they are making more major mistakes and miscalculations by working hand-in-hand with
Barack Obama to push a radical liberal agenda.
As more and more people learn the truth about the Democrats' agenda of tax increases,
expensive new programs and bloated budgets, our Senate candidates will gather more and more
momentum for the 2010 elections.
(Over, please)

But we cannot take anything for granted. The Democrats will surely be well funded,
aggressive, and they will do or say anything to hold onto power.
And we must never forget that President Obama has a proven capacity to raise hundreds
of millions of dollars and rally thousands of liberal activists for the Democrats.
That's why the NRSC is asking Republicans like you to help us focus and support our
2010 Senate campaign effort today. We must start early, unite our base of support, and then
keep pressure on our opponents all the way through to Election Day.
So please, send a minimum contribution of $1 for every Senate race being held in
2010 - Just $36 to the NRSC along with your completed STOP OBAMA Survey today.
Of course, I encourage you to consider sending a contribution of $50, $100, $250, $500,
$1,000, or whatever you can afford to assist us in this important and urgent effort.
The battle for control of the U.S. Senate is the most important political battle our Party
faces - you can help make a difference for Republicans running for the Senate by acting now.
Make your voice heard!
Please, return your survey and contribution right away. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
~JL~
Senator John Cornyn
NRSC Chairman
P.S. Completing your STOP OBAMA Survey and returning it to the NRSC along with
a contribution of at least $1 for each 2010 Senate race $36 are THE two most
important things you can do to STOP THE OBAMA AGENDA. The NRSC is leading
the Republican Party's effort to take control of the U.S. Senate and effectively cut
Barack Obama's term in half. We need the active support and input of every concerned
Republican all across the nation. Please return your questionnaire to the NRSC with a
gift of $36, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or whatever amount you can spare, right away.
Thank you again.
