learn about the engineering concepts
behind everyday objects. Children will
be able to engage in a hands-on
making challenge!

April 9 – LED Monsters: Design a
unique monster to keep in this
challenge that is a monster mashup of a creative activities and
beginner circuitry!

April 23 – Upcycled Wind Chimes:
Join us to experiment
with sound, and give
new purpose to old
materials. Take your
wind chime home to
enjoy!

Life on the Erie Canal
Homeschool Science
Enrichment Program
Thursday, April 6
1:00 – 2:30 PM
Join us as canal days come to life in
this hands-on STE(A)M-based
program. Participants will learn all
about the Erie Canal, discover how it
was built and how it worked, and
explore artifacts. All science
enrichment home school programs
are offered for children ages 6-8 and
9-12. Pre-registration is required for
all Home School programs and class
size is limited, so register early. Call

Exploring Earth & Sky – Earth Day
Celebration!
Join SUNY Poly CMOST staff in a fun
day filled with earth and sky
exploration. We will have hands-on
science cart demonstrations and
workshop stations throughout The
Museum. Visitors are invited to
investigate clouds, explore orbiting
objects, and more in this fun day of
earth science investigation! No preregistration required, activity included
with museum admission.

Mini Maker Camp: Do you consider
yourself a master builder? Are you
fascinated by how things are made,
how they work and redesigning them?
Then this camp is for you! We will test
your limits of design and engineering
during this Master Builders camp for
kids with a LEGO twist.

Eco Explorers Camp Series: Become
an Eco Explorer and join us for an
introduction to exploring the use of
sustainable, natural and ecological
materials in engineering and
technological advancement. Campers
will also discover how the natural
world influences our survival on
Planet Earth. The week is broken up
into 5 topics for your exploration!

Extended Camp Care: Before Care (8
to 9 a.m.) | After Care (4 to 5 p.m.)
will cost an additional $6 per day, per

Technology Summer Camp this year!
Our 2017 Summer Camps will
continue to offer program favorites
such as Lego Master Builders and
Robomakers, as well as many new
and exciting ones like:
 Game Makers

 Tinkering Tots
 Carnival Science
Kindertist - SUNY Poly CMOST’s
Kindertist program is for young
children heading to a day camp
program for the first time ages four
through entering kindergarten. The
Kindertist program runs from 9 a.m. –
12:00 p.m. and is filled with
developmentally appropriate
activities for young learners.
Junior Discoverers Camp - children
entering grades 1 and 2
SUNY Poly CMOST’s Junior
Discoverers camps are for children
entering grades 1-2 and the activities
include a variety of science
experiments, play and project based
activities that allow children to
explore and learn about STE(a)M
concepts over the course of their
summer vacation.
Senior Explorers Camp - children
entering grades 3 through 5
SUNY Poly CMOST’s Senior Explorers
camps are for children entering
grades 3 through 5 and the activities
include science experiments, projectbased learning activities where
children have the opportunity to
master scientific concepts and then
teach those concepts to visitors and
other campers in the Museum.
