No. 4714 Consumer Protection Information There are some monument/memorial dealers who, shortly after burial, contact the family and claim to represent the cemetery or the funeral home. These persons will often attempt to sell a monument to a family, receive payment, and fail to deliver, or suggest that there are certain requirements for monumentation and that monuments must be placed within a certain period of time. There are no such regulations requiring you to erect a monument or inscribe an existing one. Our funeral home will not release telephone numbers or addresses, nor do we authorize the use of our name in connection with the sale of any monuments/memorials. 14 OPTIONAL PACKAGED SERVICES Direct Cremation n . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $2,110 to $6,678 Our package charges for direct cremation include basic services of funeral director and staff, local transfer (within 10 miles) of remains to this funeral home, sheltering of remains for up to 48 hours, obtaining necessary permits and authorizations (but not the actual cost of death certificates, permits and filing fees), local transportation to the crematory, sanitary care and preparation of remains for identification. Celebrant Services For some people, traditional funeral ceremonies fail to reflect the personal uniqueness of the participants, or express the depth and universality of meaning they seek. Our firm offers “Celebrant Services.” Certified Celebrants offer an alternative to a service traditionally provided by ordained clergy for those who are not affiliated with a church or who do not wish to have a religious funeral service. This service can make the difference between a funeral and a celebration of your loved one’s unique life. Our Celebrants enjoy speaking with family members as they remember the deceased and the life they lived. They transform those memories into a meaningful service, and use their skills to share the story of your loved one’s life with those who have come to pay their respects and remember. Our Celebrants have been specifically trained and certified to design a service that is completely personal, and as unique as your loved one. And through the availability of a wide library of resources for readings, music and other special ceremonies they can help your family design a service that honors the life of the deceased. Our Celebrants will schedule a convenient time to meet with your family and listed to memories and stories from your life with the deceased. The essence of the service will reflect these remembrances. Our Celebrant will work directly with your funeral director on the arrangements and elements of the service and is dedicated to the concept of providing a tribute that reflects the lifestyle and beliefs of your individual family. Our selection room. It is the policy of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Inc. to hold clothing and personal effects, including sheets, towels, blankets, stuffed animals and pillows, on the funeral home premises for a period not to exceed 7 days from the date of final disposition.
