Developed in conjunction with Coinco (Money Controls’ parent company), the MC2600 bill
acceptor is a robust yet sophisticated system that offers high performance and fast, troublefree note handling for a range of applications, including amusement and music. It is made
with ruggedised engineering plastics and is designed specifically for all U.S. dollar bills
and notes 62-66mm in width.
As with ordinary acceptors, bill discrimination starts with optical scanning, but the MC2600
is no ordinary acceptor – it uses world-leading software and advanced mathematics to
determine bill authenticity and denomination, resulting in very high security. It also
incorporates an internationally proven optical anti-stringing and anti-fishing design, and
a resistance to saltwater tampering to protect against fraudulent activity. Individual bills may
be inhibited from normal acceptance, giving operational flexibility and enhanced security
when needed. Accepted bills are routed and stacked within the removable cash box, which
allows easy bill removal. The cash box is available with a 500-700-900-1100 note capacity
and all boxes are completely interchangeable.
The compact, modular MC2600 complies with the amusement industry standard sizes and
can be set in the ‘upstack’ or ‘downstack’ arrangement, subject to application. To simplify
implementation, the unit comes with a true Plug & Play capability and offers a number of
interface options, including Standard Pulse, RS232 and Vend Serial protocols. Its design
allows programming by means of a download box, a PC (RS232) – which can also be
used for diagnostic testing and maintenance functions – or by EEPROM.
