CARING FOR THE COMMUNITY
Bundaberg Regional Council has given a strong commitment to community development, participation and
service delivery by allocating $5.1 Million towards community and cultural facilities around the region.
Cr Judy Peters believes it is money well spent. “Our arts, community and social services reach almost
everyone in the community and Council is committed to giving them the very best service” Cr Peters said.
“Recognising our commitment to the community, almost $2 million is raised to offset costs”.
Highlights include:
Community Care, HACC and Respite Centre operations across the region
Cultural services and initiatives
Ongoing support for Childers and Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centres
Gracie Dixon Respite Centre improvements
