Section162.059toSection162.059(H)(2) ThefollowingchangeswererecommendedbytheChairmanandCommissioners.The changesarenotenactedandnoactionhasbeentakentoadoptthesechangesintothe officialCodesandOrdinances: • Continueallformattingandeditingcommentsasoutlinedinpreviousdiscussions heldbythisboard,inanofficialmeeting,asrecognizedbytheVillageofElwood. • Makeuniformthelanguagedescribingthetypesofdistrictsinallterminology throughoutChapter162.Example: o ExistingLanguage:singleunit,oneunit,onefamily,etc. o AmendedLanguage:single-family,two-family,multi-family,etc. • Change‘R-2ASingle-FamilyResidenceDistrict’toreadasfollows: o Single-FamilyResidentialDistrict(R-2A) • Inthe‘Descriptionofdistrict,’foralldistricts,replacetheword‘composed’with theword‘comprised.’Inthissection,thesentenceshouldread: o Thisdistrictiscomposedcomprisedoflow-densityresidentialareasplus certainareaswheresimilarresidentialdevelopmentappearslikelyto occur. • Thezoningsectionsfollowdifferentformattingforsomeofthedistricts;reference §§162.057and162.059.TheBoardwouldliketorecommendthestructurein 162.059beadoptedthroughoutChapter162tomakethecodeuniform.Thiswould onlyapplytothe‘Descriptionofdistrict’atthebeginningofeachsection.The descriptionwillbelimitedtothesingleparagraphstructureversusthenumbering andlettersformatusedinothersections.Forexample: o RecommendedFormatting:(A)Descriptionofdistrict.Thisdistrictis comprisedoflow-densityresidentialareaspluscertainareaswheresimilar residentialdevelopmentappearslikelytooccur.Itistheintentofthis districttoprovideforanenvironmentofpredominantlylow-densitysingle unitdwellingspluscertainadditionalusessuchasschools,parksand certainpublicfacilitieswhichservetheresidentslivinginthedistrict. 2|P a g e See§§162.057(A)(1)and162.057(A)(2)foranexampleofformattingthat willbemodifiedtoreflecttheabovestructure.
