THE DARTMOUTH CLUB OF THE FLORIDA KEYS is pleased to announce a combined choir
concert by
THE DARTMOUTH COLLEGE GLEE CLUB and the KEY WEST HIGH SCH O OL
CHAMBER CH OIR

The Dartmouth Col l ege Gl e e Cl ub is an auditioned ensemble of serious singers who enjoy
performing a wide variety of choral music spanning five centuries, from Renaissance motets to
choral/orchestral masterworks to the beloved songs of Dartmouth College. In addition they perform
staged operas, operettas, and musicals. They have toured both nationally and internationally to Italy
and Brazil, and have performed at many important venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City
and Wolf Trap Park for the performing arts. This concert is part of their spring tour and includes
stops in Sarasota and Miami.
The group is composed of undergraduate
students who come from every corner
of the United States and abroad, and have a
variety of majors ranging from
the sciences to the arts and humanities.
Conductor Louis Burkot directs the Glee Club
and teaches courses in vocal performance at
Dartmouth College. He is also
known nationally as a opera conductor, coach
and Artistic Director of Opera North,
a leading summer opera festival held every
summer in New Hampshire.
The Key West High School Cha mber Choir consists of 44 select students under the direction of
Mr. James Carter, Choir Director and Lead Music Teacher Monroe County Schools. The Mistys,
VIPs and Choir will present individual works as well as joining the Dartmouth Glee Club in “Joshua
Fit The Battle Of Jericho” which is sure to bring down the house if not the walls.
DARTMOUTH C OLLEGE ALUMNI BO OK AWARDS
During intermission, Dartmouth alumni will present the annual Dartmouth Alumni Book Awards
to outstanding 11th grade students from Monroe County’s three high schools. This year’s recipients
include: Annabel le Bricker, Coral Shores HS; Kelsey Wonderlin, Marathon HS and Jamie
Kessl er, Key West HS. Honorable mention to: Kieran Ca mpbell KWHS, Erica Jewel KWHS
and Sarah Brown CSHS. Each of these students earned extremely high grade point averages in the
most rigorous college preparatory curriculum offered in Monroe County High Schools and
participates in challenging school, extracurricular and community service activities.
Tickets are available at MacArthur Music, and at the door. $5.00 per person, children under 12
admitted free.
