Hi Everyone
Rally Report
Stef reports it was a great day, weather was perfect, food abundant and our instructors gave
us lots of information to keep everyone thinking about how to improve their individual riding journey.
Just a couple of reminders
If everyone could please pick up their own horse poop… and please dispose of it into the
bushland rather than piling it around individual trees. This is to prevent causing collar rot
at the base of the tree trunks, thank you this will be a great help.
If you are on duty at rally please go to the website and read the “Rally Day Requirements
for Workers” before rally so you are aware of the duties.
Grounds Report
A MASSIVE THANKS…to all those members who generously donated their time and expertise to
assisting in the demolition of our tie-up yards. It is too difficult to name individuals as there were
so many who participated on the day, we are very fortunate to have so many willing people in our
club, it certainly makes all the difference.
The rebuilding of the yards has commenced… our contractor, Cam is underway with the erection
of the new yards, and all going according to plan we will have somewhere safe to tie our much love
horses by next rally.
It has been decided to replace the chains on the main arena with gates. As it has become apparent
that the chains pose a potential problem for the smaller ponies in MPC as they were potentially too
high for some of them.
The chain on the sand arena has been replaced with plastic chain to enable it to be more visually
prominent.
Hickstead Report
Talks are underway with regard to upgrading more of the jumps in the Hickstead. Initially there
needs to be some retaining walls built for the Derby Bank and also around the pond. Stay posted for
more updates. If you are able to assist in some way please contact Rukshi Blacker who will be our
coordinator.

Just a reminder…
rally fees must be paid at the time of booking in with Ros… These monies are how we pay
for our instructors on the day.
NB: if you have money owing from past rallies it must be paid prior to booking your
next lesson/s.
Please do not request specific times or specific instructors…as a consideration to all our members the aim is to rotate this as equally as possible. The experience of the horse and rider must also
be taken into account in order to provide the safest possible outcome for all.
