Niche research The original video of this tutorial is available here: http://www.senuke.com/videotraining Welcome to this SENuke X Tutorial for Niche research. The goals of this Tutorial are to explain niche research, show you how to use niche research and finally to give you some tips and tricks to make success more likely. Purpose of Niche Research The purpose of niche research is to find the best keywords for your money site, and to do that you obviously need to understand how Google (or other search engines) work. Google responds with a search list. Try this out yourself, type something in Google and press enter. This will generate a Search List of websites which are related to your search terms. The search list will be unique for different search terms which are used. If you search for diet, or best diet, or best diet now then you will find a completely different search results, even though they are related. The key is to find the best keywords for your site. This can be done using Long Tail Keywords. Long tail keywords are a group of two or three keywords together which are sort of like a sentence which people type. These are what people will type when they are searching for something. These are much more effective than single word keywords. The keywords should be specific, for example you could choose the keyword American Cars 2010. This is a specific sentence where people are looking for American cars from last year. Ensure that you are using keywords which are related to the subject of your site. Choose keywords which correspond to the product, service or offering. If you are selling wood chips then choose keywords which directly correspond to wood chips. Your keywords also need to have a call to action for those people who are close to making a purchase or using a service. You don't want to use generic terms like best acne solution, that would be ridiculous. Please note that keyword research is a very in depth topic and covering it from start to finish is beyond the scope of this course. We suggest getting a specialized keyword research training course. Market samurai's training is pretty good. Now let's look at how to use the software to perform Niche Research. There are basically three different ways of doing niche research in SE Nuke, the first is to use the niche research tab (1) , you can use the search for option, or batch research tab. The Niche Research Tab Let's first look at the niche research tab. Here's where you put in the keyword or keyword phrase you want to research. Here's the various competition types available to you. Keyword will just look for any keywords in that sentence. “Keyword” will look for keywords in that exact order. Allintitle:keyword is the default option which will look for sites which have that keyword in the site title. Intitle:“Keyword” inanchor:“keyword” will look for the keyword in both the title and the anchor of the site. If you're a bit confused by this option then just leave it set as allintitle:keyword and move on. Enter a keyword in the keyword to search and then click Check Competition. This will tell you the domination difficulty for the group of keywords you have selected. The levels are Extremely Easy, Easy, Doable, Could be Touch, Not Likely Difficult, Extremely Difficult and Don't waste your time. This makes it possible to decide whether or not to invest any time targeting this keyword phrase. Google Keywords Tool Now let's look at the Google Keywords Tool. This can be accessed by clicking on the Search For → Button and then selecting Google Keywords Tool. We'll skip over word tracker as few people use this, the Google keywords tool is much more powerful. It's first going to ask you to enter the capatcha. Then type the keywords, you can type keywords one per line. Then just click search and it will respond with 50 keywords which have been generated from Google’s search results. Hit the down arrow to search for 100 keywords. Click the button to copy keywords for batch research, then click Find Competition. This will take maybe one or two minutes to complete. You will then get the results depending on the difficulty of keyword domination. This is the batch keywords tab which has the keywords obtained from the Google keyword tool pasted in the keywords box. It's also possible to type your own keywords into the batch tool or import a list of keywords from a CSV file. The list of keywords can also be exported as a CSV if needed. So that's the niche research tool in SENuke. This will help you to decide which keyword terms you should go after and where the site will rank.
