Raschel bags are suitable for packing dry products, especially hard
vegetables such as potatoes, onions or carrots.
Raschel bags are made of pure high density polyethylene mesh well suitable for safe contact with food
and optimal for air ventilation, allowing the produce to be stored for a long time. Bags come in various
colors and sizes, both loose for manual filling or on rolls for automatic bagging on horizontal centrefold rollstock machines. According to customer’s needs the bags can be also branded with a continuous
printed stripe of low density polyethylene band. The bags are mostly closed by semi/automatic sewing
machines with a cotton thread. A tagging stripe printed with consumers’ data is usually sewn into
the seam.
For onions the bags are also woven densely with smaller mesh to prevent unwanted dust from falling out
of the bag (see reverse for detailed view).
