You’ll need to do this one on a tray to catch the mess...
You’ll need: Blu-tack, effervescent Vitamin C capsules,
water, an empty film canister
What to do:

Snap a vitamin C capsule in half
Blu-tack one half of it to the inside of the lid of the film canister
Half fill the film canister with water
Push the lid firmly back on top of the canister
Turn the canister upside down so it’s now on its lid and on a tray
Three. Two. One... Stand back and watch!
Wow! What just happened?
The Vitamin C capsule dissolves in the water creating carbon
dioxide gas.
This gas slowly builds up inside the canister creating a large amount
of pressure. The pressure becomes so great that eventually the
weakest spot gives in (which is where the lid joins the base) thus
shooting the film canister off the lid and into the air!
