Location Florida points to Cuba from the southeast of the United States and separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Gulf of Mexico. It is known for its beaches and sunshine, but the State's north also features inland lakes and forests. Much of Florida is completely flat with low-lying coastlands, some of which is swampy. The north of Florida contains rolling country dotted with thousands of lakes, but nowhere in the State is there anything approaching hilly terrain. Climate The climate of North and Central Florida is humid subtropical. South Florida has a tropical climate. Florida is one of the most tornado-prone states in the United States. During mid-summer, dust emanating from Africa affects the state, turning skies white and decreasing air quality Further information http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/prospectiveinternational.html Resit Policy Please note that UF business courses do not have a ¡ °re-sit¡ ± policy. Classes are designed so that you have anywhere from 1-3 exams throughout the course. You only have one opportunity to take an examination. Most classes have 2 exams: a mid-term exam in the middle of the course and a final exam at the end of the course. Please remember that the grade you receive is the grade that will be on your transcript or official school record. You will not be allowed to retake the exam at a later time for a better grade. If you are struggling in a course, you should meet with the professor during office hours for extra help.
