Describing pictures of Keith Haring
Grade 5, G. Rohr
Keith Haring was an American artist, who lived in New York. He was only
32 years old, when he died in 1990. He liked graffitis and he painted art
work on walls in Sydney, Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro, Minneapolis and
Manhattan.
We described some of his colourful pictures.
The skateboarder
He looks very cool. The colour of the figure is blue. The wheels are yellow
and the board is red. The background is white. In the middle of the body

The skater ist very fast. Mister Skater loves to skate. The skateboard has
yellow wheels and a red board. Mister Skater is wearing a blue suit, blue
gloves and shoes. His favourite colour is blue, that's why he is wearing so

The dancing heart
The picture with the heart looks very funny, because it's a dancing heart.
It has green legs and the upper body is a heart. It's walking on purple
ground. The background is yellow. I guess the heart is dancing, but it

The super dog DJ
I am describing the picture with the DJ. He is looking very happy. I think
he is having fun because he is barking. The DJ is moving his body in a
cool way. He is playing music at a music desk. I think many people are
listening to him. In the picture the letters DJ are written in black. The

The yellow fish

The dog riders
The red dog is staying on the ground. On the red dog there are two blue

The cool men
The four men are dancing very crazily. An orange man is dancing with the
arms, his right foot is above the ground and the left knee is bended. The
yellow man, who is dancing breakdance, is a cool one. The green man is
jumping in the sky and he is holding out his arms. And the blue man is

Four people are dancing breakdance. One person is orange, one yellow,

The colorful dance!
My picture shows four persons. They are painted in the rainbow colours. I
guess they are dancing HipHop. Everyone is dancing differently. I can see
an orange, a yellow, a green and a blue man. They seem to be happy
because they are dancing in a very cool way. Keith Haring drew the
picture that I'm describing. The orange man is dancing like a monkey. The
yellow man is dancing on the ground. The green man is jumping very
high. My favourite dancer ist the blue one. I can't describe, what he is
