PLAYOFFS The final week of the season (week 7 in 6v6 leagues and week 6 in 4v4 leagues) will be a “position round/week” to determine final standings and our champion. Teams will be matched up by current standings position: 1v2, 3v4, etc. Bowling Etiquette ● Be ready when it’s your turn ● Don’t bowl if someone on an adjacent lane is about to bowl or is bowling ● Wait until the lanes next to you are done before you bowl so that you don't distract the person next to you. ● Be courteous and respectful. We share the bowling alley with other leagues that take their bowling very seriously and may be playing for money. Prizes and Raffles Raffle entries will be earned for bowling a turkey (3 strikes in successive frames). Please mark your turkeys down and notify the front desk at the end of the night to confirm. Handicap All bowlers will have a handicap that is based upon an average of their first two games. The handicap creates a level playing field for bowlers of all skill levels. After you bowl your first two games, the bowling software calculates your average (game 1 + game 2)/2 and then figures your handicap (200 avg. * .9 = handicap). For example, Bob bowls: 130 game 1 + 138 game 2 = 268 total 268/2 = 134 average 200134 = 66 * .9 = 60 handicap Bob gets 60 pins added to his score for each game. Bowlers with higher averages have lower handicaps. These rules may be modified as needed to make the league more fun. www.xososports.com Copyright (c) 2008 XOSO Sport & Social League All Rights Reserved.
