Bananas About Word Building!
You will use: 6 bananas & 12 monkeys
1. Write your choice of word
endings on the bananas.
Suggestions: -it, -et, -op, -ug, -at, -an, -ate,
-ail, -ut, -out, -oot, -ee, -ill
2. Write a variety of consonants on the
monkeys.
Suggestions: p, m, b, t, f, s, l, r
Blend suggestions: sn, pl, br, tr
To Use: Hang a classroom clothesline &
attach bananas. Have children pick a monkey
& clip it onto a banana-ending to create a
word.
