Spiders, ticks and scorpions are call arachnids. • Ladybugs have two hard wings that are colored and spotted and two wings that are thin and used for flying. Ladybugs can be orange, yellow, red, gray, black, blue, or pink. Spotted Ladybugs have the same number of spots on each of their hard wings. • We learned that ants live together in large numbers. Some ants are guard ants, some take care of the babies ants (larva), other ants are the food gatherers, and others are the nest builders. The queen ant is the only ant that lays eggs. • We talked about honey bees and examines a candle made from the wax from a real honeycomb, Volume 4, Issue 27 May 31: 4K Graduation 4:00 pm at Canaland Child Care Center.
