AT HOME ASSIGNMENT: REQUIRED
On a separate piece of paper (either neatly hand written or typed) answer the
following comprehension questions. The information needed for these
questions will be analyzed and discussed in class. Use notes and PowerPoints
to help you with your answers. All answers must be written in complete
sentences with specific details. You may either re-write the question or restate the question within your answers. The answers to these questions will
serve as your study guide for the unit test. QUESTIONS/ANSWERS ARE DUE BY
11/12.

AT HOME ASSIGNMENT: OPTIONAL EXTRA CREDIT
Those interested in receiving extra credit can complete any or all of
the assignments listed below. Each individual assignment will have a
maximum value of 20 classwork points, based on the amount of
work that was put into the assignment. In order to receive full credit,
you must turn in a works cited page and all written information
must be either typed or written in ink.

ALL EXTRA CREDIT IS DUE BY 11/12
1) Research an Egyptian pharaoh not mentioned in
your text book and creatively present who this
pharaoh was and what took place during their rule.
2) Research and present your findings as to how the
Egyptians built the pyramids.
3) Research an Egyptian god not mentioned in the
textbook and creatively present who this god was
and what influence the god had over the Egyptian
people.
4) Research the Sphinx and creatively present
information on its history and significance.
5) Research the series of events that led to Alexander
the Great becoming Pharaoh of Egypt and creatively
present your findings.
6) Research the discovery of the Rosetta Stone and
creatively present your findings about its
importance.
7) An option of your choice, presented and approved
by Mr. Collins.
END OF UNIT ASSESSMENT
The Egypt unit test will be scheduled for Wednesday,
November 12th . You will have smaller assessments
along the way for the individual learning goals. Use
the at home assignment as an ongoing study guide.
The unit test will be a combination of multiple choice,
true/false, and short answer.
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO
ACCOMPLISH WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR. Each
night you should be seeing if you’re able to answer
any of the comprehension questions.
