There’s a quaint little fishing village in the Outer Banks of North Carolina called Wanchese. And there, you’ll find
some of the most delicious shrimp, oysters and crabs you’ve ever tasted. The waters off Wanchese supply some
of the wonderful seafood restaurants in the Outer Banks, and now they help supply us at Fatz. They provide
us with shrimp and oysters that we cook up Calabash style, meaning we marinate them in buttermilk,
season them perfectly, hand-bread them and then fry them lightly as only Fatz can do. Please enjoy.
