Sowing Seeds—Growing Our Faith
A Way of Life – Christ the King
That we don’t take each day for granted
and see the little miracles that occur in our
lives every day. “For you do not know on
which day your Lord will come.” Matthew
24:42 People who have had health issues or
near-death experiences generally have a
greater appreciation for each day being a gift
from God. The rest of us usually take for
granted that we will be around tomorrow. But
when you start to look at each day as a gift,
you realize all the little miracles that happen
daily and grow in gratitude for all that we have been given.
Advent – Daily Mass
During the Advent Season, beginning Monday,
November 28th there will be a daily Mass at 6:30am Monday
thru Friday.
Blood Drive
There will be a Blood Drive in the parish hall next
Sunday, December 4th from 8am to 2pm. This is our final
drive of the year. Christmas is a peak time for blood demand,
so please take a moment to donate. One donation can save
up to three lives.
The Giving Tree
Our St. Vincent de Paul Society has placed tags on the
Giving Tree in Church:
An Angel: represents a child who would not otherwise
receive a gift for Christmas, due to family hardships. (Gift
cards are acceptable for the older children.) Please do not
wrap gifts. They can be put in gift bags.
A Star: represents a Toiletry Box for our brothers and
sisters who are in prison.
You may bring your donations to the parish office no later
than Wednesday, December 14th. Please do not bring
clothing as we do not know sizes. Donations of Christmas gift
bags, especially large ones can also be brought to the office.
We thank you for your support.
Intercessions for Life
For all of us gathered in prayer: May God grant us the
wisdom and courage to lovingly protect his gift of life at every
stage, in sickness and in health; we pray to the Lord.
Word of Life
For members of the Church: May we care for those in
difficult circumstances, such as crises pregnancies, loneliness,
loss, and poverty. We pray to the Lord.

“A model of care has been developed specifically for
families whose infant is likely to die before or after birth. Often
called ‘perinatal hospice,’…[it] provides precious moments
together—whether the baby is inside or outside the womb—
which can be cherished forever.” USCCB Secretariat of Pro-Life
Activities
Watch Your Faith
This is the time of year when we will be bombarded by
advertisements to buy all sorts of things; we will be invited to
many parties. All this can make us forget the true meaning of
Advent. Let us strive to live this liturgical season with depth, with
the Christian sense. In this way we will see the birth of the Lord
filled with the Lord of Christmas.

ADMINISTRACIÓN CRISTIANA DE LOS DONES:

Para que no demos por sentado cada día y que
podamos ver los pequeños milagros que ocurren en
nuestras vidas todos los días. "Porque no saben en
qué día vendrá su Señor." Mateo 24:42 Las personas
que han tenido problemas de salud o experiencias
cercanas a la muerte por lo general tienen un mayor
aprecio por cada día, porque es un regalo de Dios. El
resto de nosotros por lo general damos por sentado
que vamos a estar aquí el día de mañana. Pero
cuando se empieza a mirar cada día como un regalo,
uno se da cuenta de todos los pequeños milagros que
suceden a diario y crece en agradecimiento por todo lo que se
nos ha dado.
Adviento – Misa Diaria
Durante la temporada de Adviento, empezando el lunes,
28 de noviembre habrá Misa diaria en ingles a las 6:30am de
lunes a viernes.
Campaña Para Donar Sangre
La campaña para donar sangre se llevará a cabo el próximo
domingo, 4 de diciembre en el salón parroquial entre 8am y
2pm. Será la última campaña del año. La Navidad es un tiempo
máximo para la demanda de sangre, así que por favor tome un
momento para donar. Una donación puede salvar hasta tres
vidas.
Pinito de Dar
Nuestra Sociedad de San Vicente de Paul has puesto
etiquetas en el Pinito de Dar:
Un Ángel: representa un niño desafortunado que
además no recibirá un regalo esta Navidad. (Tarjetas de
regalo son aceptables para los niños mayorcitos.) Favor de
no envolver los regalos. Se pueden poner en bolsas
Navideñas.
Una Estrella: representa una caja de artículos de
necesidades para nuestros hermanos y hermanas en
prisión.
Puede traer sus donaciones a la oficina parroquial para
el miércoles, 14 de diciembre. Favor de no traer ropa.
También puede traer donaciones de bolsas Navideñas,
especialmente las grandes a la oficina. Le agradecemos su
apoyo.
Intercesiones por la Vida
Por los miembros de la Iglesia: Que cuidemos a quienes
están en circunstancias difíciles, como embarazos no
planeados, soledad, pérdida y pobreza; roguemos al Señor.
Palabra de Vida
Se ha creado un modelo de cuidado de manera específica
para las familias cuyo bebé tiene posibilidades de morir antes o
después del parto. Con frecuencia conocido como ‘hospicio
perinatal,… brinda valiosos momentos juntos, tanto dentro
como fuera del vientre de su madre, que pueden atesorarse
para siempre”.

Cuida Tu Fe
Esta es una época del año en la que vamos a estar
“bombardeados” por la publicidad para comprar todo tipo de cosas,
vamos a estar invitados a muchas fiestas. Todo esto puede llegar
a hacer que nos olvidemos del verdadero sentido del Adviento.
Esforcémonos por vivir este tiempo litúrgico con profundidad, con
el sentido cristiano. De esta forma viviremos la Navidad del Señor
ocupados del Señor de la Navidad.
