April Flowers Bring May Showers?
April was a month full of preparation and testing for our students. We
also completed our Relay for Life campaign and had our 9th annual
Spring Festival sponsored by our PTO.
A special thank you to parents, students, and staff for your support and
diligence during the Ohio achievement and district diagnostic testing
period. Students were in attendance, focused, and prepared each day
and worked really hard during testing time. We were very pleased with
their efforts.
Our PTO raised monies to support our school
and the many wonderful educational projects we
do! EH family and friends Relay for Life team
managed to raise over $10,000 for Relay for Life
for the second year in a row! Congratulations to
everyone who contributed to the fun and
excitement of an amazing spring festival and such
a great cause as Relay for Life!

Message from Julie Hamlin:
My Oh My…Where did the year go? I would like to thank every single person who
volunteered this year for the PTO. There is so much that could not be done if we didn’t
have the wonderful support from volunteers. I would also like to personally thank
Shannon Sutter and Marjorie Lutz for all the help and support over the last few years
on the PTO board with me. Shannon does countless “pretty” flyers for us and I truly
appreciate everything that she has done. I would like to thank our wonderful staff at
Englewood Hills. Our teachers and staff are the best! Thank you for all the support you
have given the PTO over the years!
I hope each and every one of you at Englewood Hills have enjoyed the year and the
many activities the PTO sponsored. I hope you all have a wonderful summer and I look
forward to another year as your PTO President.
~Julie Hamlin
9th Annual Spring Festival a SUCCESS!
Our Spring Festival was a success once again! We
made over $6900! Thank you so much for everyone
who volunteered to make the night a success! We
couldn’t do all that we do without the help of our
wonderful volunteers! Thank you!
Also, Thank you to all our sponsors who also helped
in making the night a success. Kroger, Dominos
Pizza and Northwest Dayton Pediatrics! Thank
you…Thank you…Thank you!
Night with the Dayton Dragons
Englewood Hills had almost 100 people represented
this year at the Family Night with the Dayton
Dragons! Students, parents, and staff had an amazing
time at the game! It was a close game!

From a NEW
Playground to a
WALKING
TRACK!
Last year, the PTO
received a grant from
Montgomery County
for new playground
equipment. This year,
the Northmont
Education Foundation
awarded Englewood
Hills a grant for $1000
to go towards a
walking track. Over
the summer months,
the PTO will be
working on a Walking
Track for everyone to
enjoy. Thank you
Northmont Education
Foundation for
supporting our efforts
in providing the EH
staff, students, and
community with this
opportunity for a
walking track!
BOX TOPS
We know summer break is just around
the corner, but remember to continue
to clip and save your Box Tops. Give
your child’s class a leg up for next
year. Who would have thought that
clipping a little Box Top would give
our school an extra $1388.10? We
made our goal by 1 Box Top! Great
job!
SCHOOL SUPPLIES – R – US
Once again, the PTO will help you get
your student ready for next year! It takes
the stress out of shopping for your school
supplies! Your student will come to school
on the first day with their school supply kit
sitting on their desk. Look for order forms
to come home this week.
