Kid-Friendly Fundraising Ideas
AUCTIONS: Create unique pieces of art to auction off at school or a public function!
SHOVEL FOR YOUR CAUSE: Winter is the perfect time to look for a shoveling gig! Ask your neighbors and family
friends if they would be willing to donate to your Bowl for Kids’ Sake efforts if you were to shovel the snow from
their sidewalk or driveway.
BAKE SALE: Ask a parent or mentor to help you bake delicious treats for a bake sale! These can be sold in your
neighborhood, at a garage sale, or maybe even a local business.
HOT CHOCOLATE STAND: Everyone loves a delicious cup of hot chocolate in the winter! Check to see if you can
set up a stand iat your winter’s farmer’s market to raise awareness.
CANNING: Call your local grocery store and ask if you are allowed to can in front of their business for a few hours.
Collect donations in a bucket and talk to customers about your cause!
START A CHANGE JAR: Create a jar to collect spare change. Ask others to make a contribution.
WRITE-A-THON: Write a letter to your family, teachers, doctor, and dentist! Tell them about your hard work and
ask for a donation. If you’re an artist, include a personalized drawing!
RAFFLE: Raffle off somethign you created or no longer use. Have friends or family buy tickets to your raffle. The
winner will get to keep the prize, and you’ll have brought more awareness to your fundraising efforts.
CANDY SALE: See if you can partner with a local business to sell candies to their customers. Many businesses will
support you, just find the right on to ask!
SOCIAL MEDIA: Ask your parents for permission to share information about your Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraising
efforts online. It’s easy, quick, and effective!
MOVIE NIGHT: See if your friends and family would help you host a movie night. Chargae a small entry fee and
sell popcorn for an extra dollar. Yum!
GAME TOURNAMENT: Do you know how to play War or Go Fish? If so, gather 10 of your friends and charge a $2
entry fee and have a card tournament! Split with the winner, and put half towards your Bowl For Kids’ Sake team!
COLLECT CANS: Did you know that you can receive money for aluminum cans? Visit your neighbors and tell
them you are collecting cans to support your cause. Once you have enough, take them to the local recycling
center in exchange fro cash!
TELETHON: Let’s not forget the simplicity of a telephone call! Call your closest family members and friends and
talk to them about your fundraising efforts. People want to hear about the great things you are doing!
