This Community Forum is the first in a series of activities planned to gather information from
stakeholders, advocates, individuals with disabilities and their family members, about your needs
for employment services. Your input will inform the development of in-depth training and
consultation services to enable our state to deliver quality, innovative employment supports
focused on self-determination and recovery.
At the Community Forum you will learn more about:
The State’s new Supported Employment & Long Term Vocational
Supports Service Definition
The Employment First Initiative in North Carolina
The NC Employment First Technical Assistance Center (NC|EF|TAC)
The NC|EF|TAC is the State's first technical assistance center to provide training and consultation
to increase employment among individuals with mental health (MH), intellectual and developmental
disabilities (IDD), and substance abuse (SA) issues.
