The problem
The effects of climate change are obvious to all.
Clean and renewable energy is the only answer for our planet.
Today eolic energy is not able to be a global energy source.
The solution
Wind as a global energy source
Modular Eolic Centrifuge
ME C
a Gaia s.r.l. new invention covered by an international patent
Energy production.
Compressed air storage.
Productivity
MEC produces energy even with weak winds thus being an ideal solution for any area
of the planet.
Wind turbines are only placed in specific high wind zones which doesn't guarantee constant
energy production.
Furthermore, with the same wind and working surface area, MEC produces 5 times as
much energy as common wind turbines.
Low costs
The materials used are nylon and aluminium, both 100% recyclable.
MEC works without the need for extremely expensive braking systems.
It automatically faces the wind. This allows:
- lower production costs: 20 times less than common wind turbines
- a significantly lighter structure thus making installation easier and cutting its costs
- maintenance costs down to a minimum
How it’s made?
Wind as global energy source
MEC, depending on available space, is made up of several cylinder shaped modules that are
placed in series within a lightweight square external structure.
The module consists of a fixed part, the baffles, and a movable part, the sails, plus a central
pivot which diverts the incoming air.
Wind hits the sails at a 90° angle, far better than the 45° angle of wind turbines.
The structure rests on a small base support and is supported from above to withstand
extreme torsional forces.
How it works?
It can automatically turn around to face the wind or it can rotate to its side to reduce the
exposed surface area in the event of excessive wind.
The air enters from the front of the structure and is diverted by the baffles to rotate the sails
placed on the rear.
Thanks to its particular shape it enables the centrifuge effect to engage.
It stores compressed air.
This makes MEC's energy production a constant global energy source.
It is not subjected to the action of the wind, but processes it to maximize efficiency.

Market
Demand is very high and difficult to quantify.
Enormous growth and constant research for new sustainable energy sources.
Competition
No match for the highly revolutionary and innovatory nature of the project.
The international patent will give the upper hand over the competition for many years.
Business
Profit will come from franchising, sales and licensed use.
Why do we need a partner?
engineering
industrial production
To become concrete and operative, MEC needs financial assistance for industrial
production and engineering costs.
The ideal partner would also provide management skills appropriate to the project to
assist its development and success.
