Schuh held assignments on the Engineer's extra board at LaGrande, Oregon. was called in lIRelief Service II board. On that date Claimant from his position on the extra He reported for duty at 12: 00 PM to be transported eastward to provide relief service for the road crew, OGRBA/15, which had tied up under the Federal Hours of Service Law. to LaGrande at approximately 3:50 PM. Claimant returned In the meantime the road crew of the 2/0GRBA/15, had tied up at the station of North Powder under the Federal Hours of Service Law. Claimant was transported Eastward from LaGrande to North Powder to provide relief service for that road crew. Claimant arrived back into LaGrande at 9:10 PM and registered off duty at 10:10 PM. The total on duty time in AWARD NO. 30 NMB CASE NO. 30 UNION CASE NO. c - 362 - 784 COMPANY CASE NO. 9202852 2 "Relief Service" for which Claimant had been called was 10'10 11 • Claimant submitted two (2) time slips, identified as Trip Slip Nos. 520 and 520C on which he made claim on behalf of himself. TRIP SLIP NO. 520 Covering the combination transport and service trip LaGrande - North Powder LaGrande, 3:50 PM to 10:10 PM. 139 miles TRIP SLIP NO. 520C 118 miles Penalty due to being required to dogcatch two trains. For the service performed on May 20, 1992, Claimant requested payment on Trip Slip Nos. 520 and 520Ca total of 257 miles. The Carrier's Timekeeper allowed Claimant a total of 117 miles, plus 2 hours 10 minutes overtime and declined payment of the additional 118 miles requested by Claimant as claimed on Trip Slip No. 520C.
