MOSS presents an interactive one day field
program to complement your curriculum.
Students explore natural science concepts as
they rotate through selected stations. Choose
up to six stations depending on your
class/school size.

General Program Information
 Station length is 30 - 45 minutes long.
 MOSS recommends 15 students or
fewer for grades K-5 per Station.
 Classroom teacher/chaperones are
required from the school at a ratio of
one per 10 students
 Field Day transportation is the
school’s responsibility.

Programs*
Montana Outdoor Science School is a nonprofit organization based in Bozeman, Montana
offering natural science education for students
K-8. MOSS is dedicated to inspire curiosity,
understanding and awareness of nature
through quality educational experiences.
Established in 1994, MOSS provides yearround educational opportunities through school
programs, school’s out camps, summer camps,
community events and festivals.
MOSS comes to YOU! Outreach offerings are
typically one hour per classroom for four
consecutive weeks. Our programs connect indoor
lessons with outdoor investigations of the local
landscape and school grounds.
MOSS School Programs
Integrating a MOSS program into your
classroom provides great opportunities to
enhance your curriculum, increase competency
in natural science concepts, build stronger
relationships with and between your students,
and invigorate learning. MOSS’ hands-on,
inquiry-based programs meet Montana State
Science Standards and make science
accessible and tangible for students of all ages.
Pricing
Pricing for all programs is determined by hours
of instruction, number of classes, number of
students and travel.
