Astute
The Astute Programme supports the United Kingdom’s Defence Strategy
through delivery of seven Astute Class submarines, whilst sustaining the
nation’s submarine construction, testing and commissioning capabilities that
support the Successor Programme.

our supply chains, are working together to ensure the Vanguard
replacement submarine delivers the capability specified by the
customer on time and at the lowest achievable cost. This major

Overview
The IMST Trainee Scheme is a 3–year scheme that aims to develop A-level qualified
individuals to become our IT professionals of the future. IMST Trainees will receive on the job
training through placements within the IMST department as well as other areas in the business.
