method of pairing students).
Pose a question or prompt. (For an extra scaffold, students could
first collect their thoughts by writing their initial response. This
would add writing to learn)

The listener takes notes and may not yet respond to the speaker.
After the speaker finishes, the listener synthesizes what the speaker

From the desk of David Cantu (A.P.):
 I would like to congratulate ALL of our Fine Arts and
Career and Technology stakeholders, you are the
BEST! The school year is almost at a closing, yet they
will continue to compete and represent Hanna ECHS
in National Competitions this summer. I would also
like to recognize and congratulate the Mighty Golden
Eagle Drumline for placing 7th in international competition. This was not an easy task and just a few days
ago our Drumline shook the world competition and
continued to place Hanna ECHS on the map.

taken us where only Eagles dare to go. Thank you
Mighty Golden Eagles for an amazing school year and
for keeping the Hanna Legacy alive.
